Are We Affecting The Life Around Us?

Problem Statement:

The effect of population growth on the biodiversity of other animals and plants.

Background Information:

Ever since humans first showed up on Earth, we've always hunted or planted for food. Of course, back then, we didn't have 7 billion people in the world. But over time, we've really increased our numbers. Which means more hunting, more planting, and the need for more space to have a shelter. But, to do that, we had to kick out animals and other wildlife from their homes to make our homes. But when we did that, we exposed them to different things they weren't ready for yet: difference in environment and climate, new predators and prey, new diseases and parasites, and they had to adapt to the changes. And it hasn't happened to just little areas, it happens in big amounts every year. And, to add to the other problems they weren't prepared for, there's pollution, global warming, poachers, and so much more. So not only are they food, but they're evicted from their homes, left in the middle of nowhere. And not only animals, but we decreased the amount of plants in the areas, too. And if that wasn't bad enough, we've changed some species a lot whether it was due to adaptation or so that we have more food for our population. Example:

But what most of us don't realize is we need them for our survival. I mean, think about it: when was the last time you saw a farm, or a reserve for animals and plants so that they are not moved from their home? Not very often, huh? We need to have sustainable environments for these plants and animals, or sooner or later, they might be gone. I mean, yeah it might help us now, but we're losing the biodiversity of other animals. And even though we have major harmful effects on the environment, we also have tried to help it. But, some people just don't care. But just as we depend on environments, they depend on us taking care of them.
